Shop with Me – FindersCreepers

While on my bath product shopping spree I ordered from a few Etsy shops. This order comes from FindersCreepers. I have had their shop listed as a favourite for quite a while because the idea of horror bathbombs was incredible to me.

Is her logo not simply adorable?

This is a nod to the movie mean girls. The pictures online made me expect it to be much more pink but for me that is a whatever thing. As for the flavour; it smells pink… I think it is suppose to be candy flavoured but if pink had a flavour this would be it. Purchased for $13.00CAD.

** I really enjoyed this bath bomb. I still cannot describe the flavour as anything other than pink. It gave the water a nice hue with no staining.

The Redrum bathbomb. I should have a TV in my bath; that way I could watch The Shinning while soaking it Redrum. The claim is that it will not stain the tub, skin, or hair. I will test out the tub theory since I have red hair and I am sporting a beautiful constant sunburn. The flavour is blood orange and strawberry. I do pick it up and it may be better once put in the bath. I think that blood orange and cinnamon would have been nice though. I purchased this for $7.00CAD.

**This has to be one of my favourites. The tub was a blood red with no staining. I let Missy in the bath for a bit with it in. She seemed pretty happy with the colour too. The sent was not over powering and the citrus took over which I enjoyed.

The terror clown from ’31’. I was so hyped for this movie and became obsessed about it. Somehow I have not watched it yet. Besides I really enjoy clowns, even more so is killer clowns. Either way I win. It is flavoured in funnel cakes and cotton candy. I can pick up on the cotton candy but I have no idea what a funnel cake smells like so I will just agree with the listing. I purchased it for $9.00CAD.

Rosemary’s baby is a much more down to earth flavour despite having such a dark colouring. I pick up on the lavender. chamomile, and rosemary. It is a very relaxing smell. I purchased this for $8.00CAD.

** I have looked for this one again since purchasing. It was the first one I tried from this order. It is the perfect relaxing flavours. Everything melds very nicely. The colour was a very calm black/dark purple shade.

So this is inspired from one of my FAVOURITE movies. Which explains why I bought two of the ‘Hello Clarice’ bathbombs. Silence of the Lambs is just to die for….ha-ha? No? Alright, it have a very fruity flavour. Almost like a fruit punch with out the berries. I purchased these for $7.00CAD each.

Fancy Dead B*tch bathbomb is massive and pretty much the only reason I bought it. Great summer flavour in raspberry lemonade. It also says that it is full of sea salt and coconut oil. Yes, I do plan on using it all in one bath because what else would be fun. I purchased this one for $12.50CAD.

My total order came to $78.50CAD.  I get 7 baths out of this. I have gotten better deals yes but I will admit  I am in love with the novelty.

As always I will update as I use the products. So, please check back.23

Bumble Box (Canadian) – 6 to 9 Months

I have received the Bumble Box for 6-9 months. The last box was a little off with the pricing so lets see how this one does.

I paid $229.50CAD for three boxes (prepaid). Each box costs $84.99CAD.

We have a wet/dry bag. It is not very big; it can fit one or two suckies or a teether. The print is cute and I like to bright yellows on it.

I stand corrected these are actually snack bags. Which I find much more useful for their size. This is by MD Handmade (you can find them on Facebook). The Etsy store is set to a way and I could not find a set price. I found a a couple different ones. We will say $5.00CAD.

** I did like this. It was not huge. Unfortunately it ruined in the wash after a couple of times. I cannot say that the bag was poorly made, I think I may have made a mistake the last time I had washed it.

Lemon yellow slippers by Romirus in size 3. As you can see in the second picture there is an insole missing. I can fix this myself but not what I was expecting to see.

Now it just might be me but I cannot seem to find their website. I do however see this brand is for sale everywhere. Including on Chinese websites that we regularly shop from. This makes me even more disappointed in a missing insole. I cannot say if this is a Canadian company or even choose a price for them. My hype was moms helping moms when it came to this box. This product does not really seem to fit that.

Please correct me if I am wrong though.

Ice cream teether by Love & Chew Kids Boutique. Now I could not find this exact one in her store I they are all priced at $25.89CAD. I also say a very cute teether with a rainbow cloud on it. I think I may be purchasing it.

**Very nice teether and it made me sad Missy was just not a teether baby. She loved playing with it in general though. I think it would have still been in like new condition now had she used it.

Now I had these in the last box. These wash clothes are by Mellow Mama Organics. These clothes come in packages of 8 for $10.00CAD making each cloth $1.25CAD. We have a total of $3.75CAD.

I will be using these in a gift basket at the beginning of next year.

Lavender baby powder by Brindlewood Soaps. This is talc free and made with arrowroot powder. It smells pretty good too. It retails for $14.99CAD on their website.

I am not sure if this will be something that we use. Missy has not had to much of a problem when it comes to diaper rashes. I am also not sure about its shelf life either. Besides I have a tried and true system when it does happen on occasion.

**Missy has terrible rashes from teether. I have used this and there has been no reaction. I do not see a big cloud when I pour it on her (not shake since we do not want it in the air for us to breathe in). The smell I cannot even find once it is outside of the bottle.

A slouchy beanie by Love Squared Kids. I really like this colour. I know it is just a basic brown but still. They retail for $15.00CAD on their website.

**This hat is beautiful! I think it is adorable on her and I live in Canada. Hats are a must in the winter. It is in great condition still too.

‘Strong and Free’ onesie byuth JR Athentics. This is made from organic cotton and regular retail is $28.00CAD on their website.

**Only got to use this a few times. The cotton was crazy soft. I thought it was cute every time she did wear it. It is a baby onsie though. They kind of all are cute.

The onesie and slouchy beanie will look adorable together!

So, the same as last time I want to see what we have for value vs what was paid. This time around we have a total of $92.63CAD not including the shoes since I was not sure what price to use. The value is here this time and I am really happy to see that. Everyone has off times and I hope to see value in the next box.

Oatbox – July 2018

I received July’s box not too long ago. I have more granola then I know what to do with at the moment. I gave my Mother a bit out of each bag so she could give them a try. The cost is $20.00CAD per month and you get two new flavours to discover each month.

The first we have is peanut butter and banana. I am quite extided about this one because who does not like this combination. Plus, I would have never thought about doing it as a granola. The recipe include is for a Breakfast Banana Split. This sounds like a blast and I kind of wish Missy was bigger because I think this would be a very healthy and fun break to breakfast.

Here we have mixed berry. Now this one I know we can all find in the grocery stores but sometimes something familiar is a nice surprise. The Very Berry Breakfast Cake is the matching recipe. It sounds interesting and I will give it shot but not until I have some company.

I have tried this one. It was the closest to me in the pantry. I cannot say it is anything special but I am not mad about receiving it at all. It does have blueberries though, so I probably would not have purchased this in the store myself.

As always I will come back and update as I go try out the products.

Oatbox – June 2018

This is my second month of Oatbox (and the review is a month late I know). I loved the idea of this box. It makes breakfast that much more fun and with two new flavours every month there is something to look forward too. It is a flat rate of $20.00CAD per month ($10.00CAD per bag).

These are made with clean ingredients right here in Canada! The company is based out of Montreal, Quebec. Offering unique flavours/pairings.

I had ordered their jar with the first box and it unfortunately broke while in transit. The company was very quick to rectify and sent a new one out with my next box. Huge kudos to them, customer service is a very big deal to me.

Here we have pear and red quinoa flavours. Every month there is two recipe cards included. While this one here does not specify to use the pear and red quinoa; it would work perfect in it.

Here we have the almond and mango flavour. The matching recipe is for Coconut Snow Balls. I probably will not use this granola for the it but I will try the recipe out soon.

I will update with pictures and the recipes as I try them out.

Shop with Me – Barefoot Venus

I went on a bit of a shopping spree. One of my orders which I just received is from the company Barefoot Venus. I received a body wash in my Canada Beauty Box from the Lilly Pilly line. I wash rushing to jump in the shower and this body wash was sitting on the counter so I grabbed it. I am in love with its sent and I did not have a reaction to it.

Knowing I needed to buy body wash and this was a Canafian company I opted to check out their website. I got even more excited that they are in British Columbia! Let’s take a look at what I bought.

Foot Fetish foot lotion $16.25. This has Tea Tree in it but it does not smell like it. It has an almost peppermint-y smell to it.

**I like this. I find it a little thick though. It is not one I would go to use at the beginning of the day but rather I use it at night. I will be repurchasing it once I have another order to make.

Playing Footsie foot soak $16.25. I mean you can see the ingredients listed right there. It is a milk bath for your feet. It has a similar smell to the lotion but much more creamy.

Decadent Duo $12.00 in Maple Blondie. This set includes a hand creme and a body wash. I will not lie I had huge Hope’s for this sent. Those expectations were not met. It smells like maple and I think it will be better when I go to use it. It may be too much sent st once.

**This flavour works great in the winter. The season makes or breaks it. To heavy for the spring/summer. Unless there is a great sale I will repurchase it if I make an order closer to winter.

Decadent Duo $12.00 in Hunny Mango. This is my type of tropical scent. It does not smell like a daquria or some other really strong ‘tropical’ scents. There is a hand creme and body wash.

Ruby Red Gift Set $20.00. These are flavoured in red grapefruit and orange. I love grapefruit flavouring! This set includes hand creme, body wash, mango butter bath soak, and a bonus lip gloss.

**Great grapefruit flavour. Out of all of them the hand creme is not my favourite. I was impressed with the lip chap though. A little more thin than what I am use to but that is not in a bad way. Love that it is not in plastic container though!

Lilly Pilly Guft Set $20.00. I wanted to try out the bubble bath. The set also includes a body wash and hand creme.

**Have not use the bubble bath yet but still in love with that green tea flavour. It is so soft and feminine.

Skin Polisher from the Lilly Pilly line for $15.00. Since I knew I already liked this flavour I figured I would buy a new body scrub while I was at it. It is a green tea flavour and very subtle but not so much so I cannot smell it.

**I will not be repurchasing this. I do not find it well as an exfoliant. I would just rather buy the body wash again (which I will be).

So I also purchased a set called Bath Without Limits $65.00. The above three we have seen earlier in the post. These are a cocoa butter bath soak and there is a total of six tins.

Vanilla Shake is a very creamy vanilla smell. It is not over powering what’s so ever. This will probably be the most relaxing sent out of all of them. Also the easiest to balance with something of another flavour.

Wildflower….is a floral soak. There is no way to break down the layers for me. This is an area where they all start to become strong and blend together. I am still going to give it a shot though. I think it will lighten up when it is in use.

Gingersnap soak. This is a winter Limited edition and mostly the reason why I purchased the set. It smells like gingersnaps with out the sugar. Something I would like to use when trying to warm up. Like in the winter.

As I stated I bought the bath soak set because of the out of seasons gingersnap bath soak. I also wanted to know what all the other smells where like with out ordering one of everything. Which is where I was headed. I was confident that I would enjoy the Ruby Red so I did get the bigger set in that one. Gift sets also tend to be value sets as you’re purchasing a lot of product at once or they have smaller contents.

Despiste spending a total of $178 (after taxes and discount). I am happy with the order. I over hyped the Maple Blondie but I just have to get over that ha-ha.

As I use the different products I will come up and update. I have high Hope’s for these guys though. I would like them to become a regular product.
